Hi, my name is Candice Trainer-Pincin, the Artist behind Noah’s Art Nursery. I live in Adelaide, South Australia, with my long suffering husband, and two children. People often ask, why reborns? How did you decide that was the ‘thing’ you were going to pursue? Well that’s an easy question to answer, and a difficult one at the same time. When I was searching for baby clothes for my new born baby, I came across a doll, which I took a double look at, was that what I thought, no surely its not someone selling their baby? On closer inspection, and between you and me, a message to the person who was selling it, I found out about the world of ‘Reborns’ or dolls that are transformed into babies. After spending two months researching all the ways to make and transform these play dolls, I thought ‘I can give this a go’. It was when I had my first ‘kit’ in my hands I realised that I had no idea what I was doing. But the rest as they say is history, and I don’t know what I'd be like without being able to make these beautiful heirloom babies.
